Affordable Housing Loan Program

 

Welcome to the Affordable Housing Loan Program Application for the City of Elk Grove. In order to request a loan from the City, the complete Application must be submitted, and this includes the submittal of all Supplemental Applicant Documents. Applicants must be issued a letter from the City’s Housing Department indicating their Application is deemed complete, before their loan application is underwritten and later provided to the City’s Affordable Housing Loan Committee.

Applications deemed complete will be reviewed on a first-come first-serve basis. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed until missing items are submitted. Projects with appropriate general plan, land use, and zoning designations will be favored over projects that are inconsistent with the general plan, land use and zoning designations. Projects with completed development plan review applications will provide a detailed concept of the Project to the Planning and Housing Departments, as well as the Affordable Housing Loan Committee, and will be very helpful in the loan review process.

Please note, additional due diligence documents will be required for Projects that later receive a funding commitment. These due diligence documents include but are not limited to the following: complete limited partnership agreements and amendments thereto, title insurance policy, environmental reports, management plan, management agreement, and social services plan. Other due diligence documents to be requested will be based on individual project characteristics and issues.
