City of Elk Grove Affordable Housing for Sale
The City of Elk Grove is continually seeking new opportunities to provide current and prospective residents with affordable homeownership opportunities. The City is currently working with HomesbyTowne and NeighborWorks to purchase and rehabilitate previously foreclosed homes and resell them to qualified first-time homebuyers. In addition, the City also has a few units become available for resale each year.

Homebuyer Education
Buyers who are just starting to explore purchasing a home may want to attend the "Homeownership Starts Here" workshop at NeighborWorks. The workshop is offered every Wednesday and by appointment.
Interested parties can register online at www.nwsac.org or by calling 916-452-5356. The workshop is free and includes a credit report.
Homes Available!
There are now several completely rehabilitated single-family homes and condominiums for sale in various neighborhoods throughout the City! These homes are move-in ready and are limited exclusively to first-time homebuyers. Very low-income and low-income households are eligible. Many of the homes have energy efficiency upgrades, remodeled kitchens and bathrooms, new flooring, and more.
Applicants must verify their household's gross annual income does not exceed the following thresholds established by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
